How To Test For Cake Doneness?
Testing for doneness is just how to know if your cake is baked or not.
There are several ways to test if your cake is bake or not depending on the type of cake. In this video, we discuss 4 ways to test if your cake is done, well baked and ready to be taking out of the cake oven.
1) Cake Doneness Test with Skewer:
Insert your skewer inside the cake and once it comes out clean you can is bake
2) Toothpick cake doneness test:
Insert your toothpick or picker stick and once it comes out clean you can is bake. For vanilla cake, the top will be golden brown and it will start shrinking from the side of the pan
3) Cake Doneness Test without Toothpick by Hand:
Yeah, your hand is another perfect tool to test for cake doneness. Just gently tap the top of the cake and the cake will spring back if press gently with the fingertip when done. If not done, you finger will tend to penetrate in.
4) Cake doneness test by side cracks:
Yeah, check the point between your cake and the cake baking pan, if done there should be cracks and openings. But if still sticker firmly, then your cake is not done yet.
Make sure you allow your cake to cool down before you remove it from the pan
