What is Chocolate Sail For Cake Design?
Chocolate sail is a type of cake topper design made from melting and cooling white or dark compound chocolate into a sailor like a shape using a chocolate recipe.
Preparation of Chocolate Sail Recipe Tutorial
The recipe ingredients list is below this post.
Step1: Put the chocolate inside a bowl
Step2: Melt it in boiled water or microwave for few minutes
Step3: Let it cool for like 2-5minutes
Step4: Pour inside your parchment paper and spread it with your offset spatula. Spray with edible gold dust to give it a shining look when firmed.
Step 5: Put inside a bowl and ensure it does not stick together
Step 6: Put inside the freezer and let it firmed up for up to 12hours (if not well firmed it will break of melt)
Step 7: Remove from freezer and remove the parchment paper gently to avoid breaking the sail shapes.
Step 8: Put it on your cake frosting
Once everything in the above steps are followed, you will be able to have a chocolate sail cake topper done successfully
